Would You Date Yourself?

By Max Jancar | Published: June 17, 2024 | 2 Minute Read

As part of my newsletter, The Breakthrough Letter, every week I send out a short email with one idea, one suggestion, and one resource to help you break through your breakup and create a new possibility for love, either with your ex or someone new.

Here’s this week’s edition. Enjoy.

Today’s Idea:

If you’ve been reading me for a while, you know I’m vocal about the fact that the only real breakup advice is self-improvement.

Well, the same applies to dating! The only real dating advice is self-improvement, too.

In other words, the best way to attract (or re-attract) an incredible person is to become an incredible person yourself.

Today’s Suggestion:

Use this week to reflect not on your dead relationship but on your future romantic relationships.

Specifically, ponder if your expectations of them are in line with your expectations of yourself. Are those expectations realistic? Write down your observations.

Over the years, I’ve noticed that many people who remain single or have difficulties in relationships often do so because they misjudge what they’re contributing and what they’re receiving in return. Hence, this little exercise.

Today’s Resource:

A Practical Guide To Modern Dating After A Breakup — whether you want to date casually or find true and lasting love, this is the guide for you. Give it a read.

As always, feel free to reply to this email and let me know what you think. While I can’t respond to everyone, I do read everything.

Until next time,

Max Jancar
