If you like my blog and are curious about what I’m working on, here’s the latest, updated on May 20.2024. Note that the list goes from business doings to personal. Enjoy.
- I’m pivoting the Max Jancar brand. I’ve been writing ex-back advice almost exclusively for over four years now. As anyone would, I have recently become bored with the topic. So most of my upcoming written content will be about breakup recovery and self-improvement. It’s more fun writing about it and feels far more meaningful than continuing to beat the ex-back drum.
- Since everything’s moving to audio and/or video these days, and blogs are dying rapidly, I’m doubling down on turning most of my articles into podcast episodes. I’d prefer to continue playing blogger, but it’s either aligning with the market’s demands or being thrust into irrelevancy.
- I’m writing my next book, “Beat The Breakup.” Inspired by Derek Sivers’ work, it’s a book about 27 conflicting philosophies on getting past a breakup.
- I’m taking reading more seriously. For the past year, I was so focused on business growth that I rarely sat down to read. I guess we can say I’m making up for lost time.
- I’m doing more language learning. Hopefully, by the end of the year, I’ll be high-conversational or B2 in Russian and, at last, an A2 in German.
- I’m learning how to cook restaurant-quality dishes at home.
- I have started playing Yu-Gi-Oh! after a 12-year hiatus.
- I’m taking care of my two little guinea pigs, Han Solo and Chewie.
- For the first time in my life, I’m actively working on gaining muscle. I have always worked out a lot, but rarely with heavy weights. Felt like it was time for a change.
- I spent an entire year and a shit ton of legal fees trying to move to Switzerland only to realize that I like it more in Slovenia, my home country. So now I’m saving up for an apartment here.
- I took a dive deep into politics. While sometimes frustrating, it’s a lot of fun so far. Current position: socially I lean very left or progressive, while fiscally/economically I lean mildly right or conservative.
