The Key To Having Healthy Relationships

By Max Jancar | Published: September 16, 2024 | 2 Minute Read

As part of my newsletter, The Breakthrough Letter, every week I send out a short email with one idea, one suggestion, and one resource to help you break through your breakup and create a new possibility for love, either with your ex or someone new.

Here’s this week’s edition. Enjoy.

Today’s Idea:

Learn to be happy alone.

Because when you’re content with yourself, you won’t feel compelled to stay in relationships that sap your energy or make you feel worse about yourself. Instead, you’ll feel compelled to seek out relationships that fulfill you. And you’ll also be far more inclined to quickly drop those that don’t.

Today’s Suggestion:

Take a moment to reflect on your current relationships. Think whether you’re staying in any of them out of obligation or fear of being alone. Write down your thoughts. Be honest.

If you discover you are staying in certain relationships due to perceived obligation or fear of being alone, consider ending them or at least distancing yourself from the people involved.

Today’s Resource:

How To Rebuild (Or Build) Self-Esteem After A Breakup — self-esteem is directly proportional to one’s tolerance for shitty relationships. The less you have it, the more likely you are to stay in bad relationships. The more you have it, the less likely you are to stay in such relationships. So here’s a guide on having more of it. Enjoy.

As always, feel free to reply to this email and let me know what you think. While I can’t respond to everyone, I do read everything.

Until next time,

Max Jancar
