As part of my newsletter, The Breakthrough Letter, every week I send out a short email with one idea, one suggestion, and one resource to help you break through your breakup and create a new possibility for love, either with your ex or someone new.
Here’s this week’s edition. Enjoy.
Today’s Idea:
A friend once told me: unless you find a way to enjoy working out, you’ll never stick with it long enough to see actual results. Simple, yet this chestnut changed everything for me.
The same applies to breakup recovery. Unless you make the struggle interesting somehow, you won’t endure it well and unnecessarily prolong your healing.
Today’s Suggestion:
Ask yourself: how can I make breakup recovery more enjoyable?
Can you gamify it? Track your habits and celebrate streaks. Can you make it social? Join a community and share your progress. Can you reframe it? See every setback as data, every small win as proof you’re changing. Can you find the humor in it? Laugh at your own drama instead of drowning in it. Can you document it? Journal or film yourself — turn it into a story you’re proud of.
Once you come up with a few ideas, try them out. Then see how it goes.
Today’s Resource:
What If You Liked The Struggle? — a practical look at how to heal and grow faster by making breakup recovery more enjoyable.
As always, feel free to reply to this email and let me know what you think. I’ll do my best to get back to you promptly.
Until next time,
Max Jancar
