As part of my newsletter, The Breakthrough Letter, every week I send out a short email with one idea, one suggestion, and one resource to help you break through your breakup and create a new possibility for love, either with your ex or someone new.
Here’s this week’s edition. Enjoy.
Today’s Idea:
A breakup sure as hell sucks, but there are probably other things in your life that don’t. Maybe even things that are actually great! Either way, be grateful for them.
Gratitude will, in general, help you feel at peace, make you more resilient, improve your mood, and force you into a more positive frame of mind. It can even serve as a form of closure after heartbreak.
In other words, gratitude heals — and it makes you a less sucky human. Don’t shy away from it.
Today’s Suggestion:
While I’ve got you here, let me express my gratitude to you. Thank you for reading my work and caring enough to open these emails. Means a lot, truly.
Now back to you: take a minute today and write down three specific things you’re grateful for at a certain moment. See how that feels.
Today’s Resource:
Sit The Fuck Down And Be Grateful — an honest, hard-hitting riff on why you should be grateful despite your breakup and how to go about it.
As always, feel free to reply to this email and let me know what you think. I’ll do my best to get back to you promptly.
Until next time,
Max Jancar
